How do I upload my photos?
Click on Photos, then Add your own photos. You can upload up to 10 images at one time. Please note we can only accept JPEG images that are smaller than 1MB in size. Select the destination to which they apply from the Destination Search list. Or if they don't apply to a specific destination, select General from the list. You should also enter some keywords as this makes it easier for other people to find your photos when they're searching on a particular destination or keywords. Once you have uploaded your photos, you can give them a title and description.
How do I upload my videos?
Our videos are hosted through YouTube. This means you first need to register and upload your videos at www.youtube.com. Once you've done that, make sure you make a note of the video ID (the unique combination of letters and numbers YouTube uses to identify videos, for example TtthIpC9cWs). On goWander.com, click on Videos, then Add your own videos. Give your video a title and description then add the YouTube code. Add some keywords and select a destination from the list, or if your video isn't about a specific destination, select General. You can then choose to preview your image before publishing or just publish. If you want to go back and make any changes, select Edit.

Pick the place where you want your link to appear and click on the globe symbol under Main Content. This will bring up a box with a field marked URL. Type your link in there, for example www.wanderlust.co.uk and click on OK to add it to the Experience.
How do I add a photo to an Experience?
Before you can use a photo in an Experience, you need to have added it to your personal photo library. To do this, follow the steps in 'How do I upload my photos?' Once you've done this, pick a point in your Experience where you'd like to add your photo. Then click on the yellow square symbol under the Main Content heading. This will open up a new window with the words 'Image Properties'. Click on the grey box that says 'Browse Server'. This will open up your personal photo library. Select the photo you wish to use by clicking on it. This will take you back to the 'Image Properties' box. Here you can resize it using the Width and Height boxes, put a border round it and decide which side of the page it will appear on using the Align menu. When you're happy with your photo, click on the OK button.
How do I add a video to an Experience?
Firstly, you need to upload your video to YouTube (see 'How do I upload my videos?'). Once you've done this, you need to make a note of the video's ID (the short code that is unique to your video). Once you've added the text too your Experience, click on Source and paste in this code at the point where you want your video to appear:
<object width="425" height="355">
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CODE&hl=en"></param>
<param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param>
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CODE&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed>
</object>
Make sure you replace the two instances of the word CODE with your YouTube ID. When you have added in your code, click on Source and either Preview or Publish as normal.

How do I find other members?
You can search for other members by entering their On-Screen Name in the 'Search the site' box. Or there is a complete list of all members in the Members section.
What's a watch list?
A watch list is a list of keywords that you are particularly interested in, for example Australia or mountaineering. When another goWander member writes an experience, uploads a photo or video, or posts a Grapevine topic including your Watch List keywords, it will be linked to your personal homepage. So you have a handy way of accessing things that interest you without having to spend time searching!
What is my Member Home?
Your Member Home is where the contents of your Watch List are stored. So if your Watch List terms are 'Egypt' and 'penguin' you should see Experiences, Photos, Videos and Grapevine topics relating to those terms on your Member Home page. It's like your own personalised version of goWander.com
What's a Travel CV and how does it work?
Your Travel CV is your record of where you've been and what you've added to goWander.com. There are two elements a map and your CV page. You can add destinations by selecting from our list. These then appear in red on your map. And when you add an experience, photo, video or Grapevine post about a particular destination, it will turn green on your map. Your Travel CV also collates what you've added to goWander.com so you can see and edit or delete your experiences, photos, videos and Grapevine posts at any time.
